old poem

stumbled upon this in my journal and remembered it :

feeling so volatile and ill

the mirrors reflection serves too much justice

or not enough--

In a paradoxical world of self loathing and self righteousness,

I can not seem to find the love

I had once sought

for the insatiable desire of perfection;

I will be left alone in my unease,

to my dismay.

But, should it be celebrated?

My ego tells me so-

Longing for a beauty that is so unreal 

I begin to wonder if this is ever a life worth living;

or a love worth giving,

or a game worth winning. 

breathe in, breathe out

Still too hot to breathe here in Houston, as I continue to instruct my lungs to do so..

However, by staying inside i've had time to browse the infinite interwebs and have come across this stunning blog,

I always love finding art I like from people in the midwest, my old home.

Its odd how I find myself missing it quite a bit these days, The extreme heat is beating more out of me than sweat.

I'm losing faith, gaining apathy.. trudging through air that doesn't want to be inhaled.

BUT, I hate to sound so negative, and unfortunately its all that's been flowing out of me recently..

As my cure, I was looking through this guy's work. It is so very simple and lighthearted, but has held my interest for the past hour and a half :)
